Ingredients
- 150 gms roasted vermicelli
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1 and 1/2 L milk
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 1 tsp saffron strands
- 25 gms each almonds, pistachio and charoli seeds
- 15 pieces dried dates
- pure ghee
Directions
- Soak dried dates for 6 hrs, almonds and pistachios for 2 hours and Charoli seeds for an hour.
- Chop dried dates into 6 pcs after removing the seeds.
- Slice almonds and pistachios after removing the skins.
- Heat pan, put 1 tbsp ghee and add the chopped nuts and dates. Saute then on low heat for a minute, then add the roasted vermicelli. Toss for minute.
- Add 1/4 tbsp sugar and toss it again. Turn off the heat.
- Put milk to a boil then leave on simmer.
- Add remaining sugar, cardamom powder and saffron to the milk. Let it simmer for 20 minutes stirring in between.
- Add the roasted nuts and vermicelli to the milk and let it simmer for 20 more minutes.
