Ingredients
- bay leaves
- 2-3 dried red chillies
- 2-3 green chillies
- 1 star anise
Directions
- Heat some oil in a Kadhai.
- Once oil gets hot, add cinnamon, star anise, coriander seeds, bay leaves, dried chillies,black peppercorns and fennel seeds and fry for a minute.
- Add the chopped onions, pinch of salt and curry leaves. Fry till golden.
- Add the chicken and sit occasionally for 5 mins.
- Add the red chilli powder and sugar and mix well. Cook for 10 mins.
- Add some water and cover with a lid. Cook for 20 mins.
- Keep tossing the chicken in between, add more water if required.
- Garnish with some tempered curry leaves and roasted red chilies.
