Ingredients
- 500 gms potatoes
- Salt
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp green chilli paste
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 10-12 curry leaves
- 1 cup besan (gram flour)
Directions
- Boil potatoes, peel them and add salt, turmeric powder (1/4 tsp), ginger paste and green chilli paste.
- For the temper (tadka): Heat oil, add mustard seeds, when they crackle add cumin seeds and chopped curry leaves.
- Add the tadka to the potatoes and mash them together.
- Make small balls.
- Mix besan in 1/2 cup water. Add 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and red chilli powder.
- Dip the balls in the besan mixture and deep fry them till golden brown.
- Serve with Pav and Garlic Chutney.
